The Traditional Way of Harvesting Olives is by Hand

In traditional olive harvesting, one of the initial steps involves hand harvesting to get the olives from the branches, to prevent damage and maintain the quality of the fruit, it’s essential to employ nets underneath the trees to catch the olives before they hit the ground. Without this precaution, the olives may become bruised upon impact, leading to a lower-quality oil when they’re crushed. By combining shaking with net usage, growers can efficiently harvest the olives while preserving their integrity, ensuring a higher-quality final product.
